  • Depression
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • PTSD
  • Effects of Adult ADD or ADHD
  • Stress Reactions
  • Physical Health Issues
  • Grief and Loss .... and more

During the initial appointments, we pay particular attention to getting a clear shared understanding of what is problematic and what is to be done. Clients' areas of strengths are also identified and considered as part of the therapeutic picture that focuses on a balance of challenges and good resources.

Psychotherapy as treatment draws upon a psychological understanding of mental health dynamics in a whole-person context. Methods and length of treatment are tailored to individual needs; these may include psychodynamic therapy, supportive therapy, or cognitive-behavioral treatment. If medications may seem helpful, clients are referred to their own physician or to an MD psychiatrist. Length of treatment is determined mutually as we work toward resolution and conclusion.
